Donations & Worthy Causes

Worthy Causes program, uploading donation receipts, eligibility.

How the Worthy Causes program works

The platform pledges 50% of profit to Worthy Causes — registered charities and community organizations doing meaningful work. The vision is simple: see how much good we can do.

The list of supported causes grows over time. Anchor partner Raising the Roof has been with us since 2022; the full current list is on the Worthy Causes page.

The program also recognizes agents who give back. Agents sign in to their dashboard to register their donations — once verified, those donations count toward the Worthy Cause Hero badge and the Top Giving Agent ranking.

How to upload a donation receipt

Agents register donations from the member dashboard by uploading the official receipt. The receipt must clearly show:

  1. The agent's (donor's) name.
  2. The charity's name.
  3. The date of the donation.
  4. The donation amount.

Our team verifies the charity using its Canadian Registration Number (CRN) before counting the donation.

Earning the Worthy Cause Hero badge and Top Giving Agent ranking

Two forms of donation recognition are available to agents:

  1. Worthy Cause Hero badge — awarded once an agent reaches $1,000 or more in verified lifetime donations through the program.
  2. Top Giving Agent ranking — earned by agents who reach $1,000 or more in verified donations within a single calendar year. The ranking lists agents by total donated for the year so consumers can find agents whose values align with theirs.

One thing to note: if you choose to hide a donation amount from public view, that donation is not counted toward the Top Giving Agent ranking. The public ranking only counts visible amounts.

Which donations qualify as a Worthy Cause

Donations qualify when made to organizations operating for genuine charitable purposes. The clearest case is a registered Canadian charity — its Canadian Registration Number (CRN) is how our team verifies eligibility. Other organizations can qualify too, including:

  1. Sports organizations with legitimate charitable status.
  2. Religious organizations operating for charitable purposes.
  3. Health-related charitable organizations.
  4. Other community-focused causes approved by our team as genuinely charitable in nature.

A donation must be a true charitable contribution — not a fee, tuition payment, membership cost, event registration, sponsorship without charitable status, or other personal expense. Political donations are not eligible.

How the platform gives — the 50%-of-profit pledge

The program runs in both directions. Agents register their own giving on the platform, and the company donates 50% of profits to charity. The current focus is fighting and preventing youth homelessness — our anchor partner is Raising the Roof, a Canadian non-profit working on homelessness across Canada.

When consumers and agents use the platform, a portion of the resulting profit flows to those causes. See the full current list on the Worthy Causes page.
