How to write a review for your agent

Find the agent. Search by name from the top of any page on the site. If they don't have a profile yet, you can create an agent profile for them.

Leave your review. Open the agent's profile and use the rating form on that page.

Confirm by email (if you started from the agent's profile). Watch your inbox (and spam folder) for our confirmation email — your review only goes live once you click the link. We require this because reviewers take legal responsibility for the content of their review.

Can I edit my review after submitting?

Yes — through us, not on the site directly. We can update the wording, the star ratings, or the property address.

Open a contact request from the email address you used to submit the review, paste the link to your review if you have it, and tell us what you'd like changed. We'll reply to that email to confirm — you'll need to respond from that mailbox before we make the change.

What makes a review valid and gets it published

  1. Confirm by email (if you submitted directly from the agent's profile). Reviews submitted directly need an email confirmation from the reviewer before they're published. Reviews started from a request your agent sent you go live as soon as you submit — the link is already authenticated.
  2. Include the basics. Property address, the client's name, and the transaction date all help us verify the review against a real transaction. Without them, the review may be held back.
  3. Write it yourself, on your own device. Reviews submitted from a device owned or operated by the agent are not accepted.
  4. One review per client per transaction. Couples or related clients on a single transaction get one review between them. Two tenants who rented the same property can each leave their own review. If your agent represented both the landlord and the tenant on a rental, the landlord can also leave a review for that transaction.

If your review didn't show up on the agent's profile and you submitted it directly from the agent's profile, the most common reason is the email confirmation step — check your spam folder for the confirmation email and click the link. The full rules are in our Review Guidelines.Yes — through us, not on the site directly. We can update the wording, the star ratings, or the property address.

Editing the wording or property address on a review you wrote

Only the original reviewer can change the wording, the star ratings, or the property address on a review. Send us a request from the email address you used to submit the review, and tell us what you'd like updated.

If an agent contacts us asking to update your review, we won't make any changes until we hear from you directly. We'll email you to confirm the request before anything is edited. Property address changes need the same confirmation, unless the agent provides documentation such as MLS paperwork showing the sale.

When we will and won't remove a review

Reviews are part of a public review record and don't come down on request. We will remove a review only if:

  1. It's a duplicate of one already on the agent's profile — same client name, email, property address, and transaction.
  2. It doesn't comply with our Review Guidelines — for example, profanity, threats, ads, or content the reviewer isn't willing to take legal responsibility for.
  3. The reviewer can't be confirmed as someone who actually dealt with the agent.

To request a take-down, send us a request from the email address you used to submit the review and explain the situation. The bar for removing a verified review is intentionally high — it's how the platform stays trustworthy for the next consumer reading it.

How we verify your identity before changing a review

Every review is confirmed by email at the time you submit it. That same email address is what we use to verify any later edit or removal request — it's how we know the change is coming from you.

When you submit your request through our contact form, include:

  1. The email address you used when leaving the review.
  2. The link to your review, if you have it. If not, the agent's name and the property address — we can usually find the review by your email.
  3. What you'd like changed and why.

After you submit, we'll reply to that email address to confirm the request — and you'll need to respond from that mailbox. That's the actual verification: anyone could type your email into the form, so we have to see the reply come from the real account before we make any changes.

If you no longer have access to the email you used originally, mention that in your message — there are limited cases where we can still help, but we'll need extra context.

My agent is pressuring me to change my review — do I have to?

No. Your review is yours, and no one can require you to change it. If an agent is pressuring you to alter or remove your review, you can flag or report them.

How company and brokerage rankings work by city

Rate-My-Agent.com ranks brokerages and real estate companies by city based on the collective verified reviews of all agents listed under that company in that city. The more agents at your brokerage who are actively collecting verified reviews, the stronger your company's ranking.

A few things to know:

  1. Rankings are based on verified reviews and ratings only — sales volume, office size, and brand recognition are not factors.
  2. Each agent's verified reviews contribute to both their individual ranking and their brokerage's collective standing in that city.
  3. A brokerage with more agents actively collecting reviews will rank higher than a larger brokerage whose agents are not collecting reviews.
  4. Company rankings are visible on each city's brokerage rankings page.

If you're a brokerage owner or office manager and want to strengthen your company's ranking, the most effective thing you can do is make sure every agent at your office has a claimed profile and is consistently requesting verified reviews from their clients.

I can only help with Rate-My-Agent questions. What can I help you with?

what is my RMA AgentCode

I don't have information about an "RMA AgentCode" in our system documentation.

Can you tell me a bit more about what you're trying to do? For example:

- Are you trying to embed your reviews on your website?
- Are you looking for your profile URL or ID?
- Are you setting up integrations with another platform?

That context will help me point you in the right direction.

how much is Pro

I don't have the specific Pro pricing documented in my help content.

What I can confirm: Pro is not a simple paid upgrade. It's invitation and qualification-based. You must first have an active Plus subscription and meet performance criteria (top city ranking, 80% response rate, "Top Rated" status, and 12+ reviews in the last 12 months). Once you qualify, you'd discuss terms and pricing directly with our Agent Success team.

If you'd like to know the exact price or discuss your qualification status, our team can help with that — reply here or log into your account.
